Challenges

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs is transforming its website as part of a broader digital strategy designed to deliver an improved veteran centric service.

Grindstone successfully tendered to present a vision for the reimagined DVA website, grounded in a desire to match strategic objectives with a user experience that serves veterans and their families so they can lead healthy and productive lives. A vision that thoughtfully united people, processes and pixels.

Strategy

Grindstone’s concept for the DVA website focused on an improved UX in structure, content and tone and introduced a customer focus brand identity to assist with separation of information in a complex environment.

Outcomes

Grindstone’s holistic approach to the challenge of making DVA’s website more veteran centric meant we went above and beyond DVA’s brief. We created a new content framework for DVA to make sure veterans are front and centre and branded it ‘VetWell’. The veteran experience online has taken on a whole new tone and focus, reflecting a more approachable DVA both in a practical and an emotional sense. DVA was so excited by our approach they’ve had us back to advise on the internal implementation of the website.
